[0:00] In this video, you’ll set up your studio’s shop: what you sell, discount codes, gift cards, and how families pay.
Products
[0:08] The Shop tab lists what your studio sells. Published products appear on your website’s shop page.
[0:15] A product is a lesson package, a recital or event fee, a gift card, or any other item, such as a book, with optional stock.
[0:24] New product asks for the kind, a name, a price, a description and a picture, and whether it’s on the website.
Discounts and gift cards
[0:32] Discount codes take a percentage or an amount off, on everything or on chosen products, until a date or for a number of uses.
[0:41] Gift cards bought on your website are emailed with their code, and listed here with their balance. None have been sold yet.
Payments
[0:49] Under Payments, you connect your studio’s own payment provider. The money goes straight to your account there, and TempoSuite never sees a card number.
[0:58] Stripe is fully supported. Square, PayPal and the others in the list are marked Beta.
[1:04] Start in test mode: nothing is charged. This demo studio is connected to a simulated processor, which only ever works in test mode.
[1:13] Keys are checked with the provider before they’re saved, and kept encrypted. When you’re ready, add a live connection, and choose which one the website takes payments through.
