[0:00] In this video, you’ll use your website to keep families and new visitors up to date.

An announcement

[0:05] Further down Settings is the announcement bar.

[0:08] It’s a line across the top of every page, in place of a pop-up: a recital, a holiday, or enrolment opening.

[0:16] Save, and publish the website.

[0:29] Now every page of the website carries it.

The newsletter

[0:32] A Newsletter sign-up section can go on any page. People confirm from an email before they’re on the list.

[0:39] In the Website tab, Newsletter lists who signed up, when, and on which page. Nobody can be added any other way.

[0:46] Write a newsletter, send yourself a test, then send it to everyone who confirmed. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link.

Comments

[1:10] Comments on your news wait in the Inbox, under Comments.

[1:14] Visitors can comment once you turn comments on, and nothing appears on the website until a teacher or owner approves it.

[1:21] Approve it, and it shows under the post, as plain text.

Visitors

[1:25] Back in the Website tab, open Visitors.

[1:33] It shows page views over the last thirty days, the most-visited pages, where visitors came from, and phones against computers.

[1:40] It’s counted without cookies, and without keeping anything about a visitor, so your website needs no cookie banner.
